This site was created by three students, Kevin Kingsbury, Timothy Welsh, and Eric Roe, in the United States Army training at Goodfellow Air Force Base. When we first arrived at San Angelo in early August 2014 we noticed the sheep statues around town, and at the enterance to Goodfellow Air Force base itself, and during our stay we started looking into what the statues were, where they came from, and how many statues there are around town; this site became our pet project during our time at Goodfellow. The statues are kind of an enigma, with no central repository of information explaining who made them, why the are here, or even how many there are out in San Angelo, so we set out to create one for the others who'll visit after us.
